Mrs. Laura is a member of the governing council of Victory Empowerment Centre. Before her appointment, she mentored the management of Victory Empowerment Centre on the rudiments of risk and monitoring in microfinance.

Mrs. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Ambrose Alli University and a Master’s degree from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho. She commenced her microfinance practice through extensive training and association with LAPO, a leading MF market player and was a pioneer member of Grooming Centre. Since 2010, she has attended several training programs on Microfinance and Risk Management within and outside Nigeria, attaining certification in Risk Management from the University of New Hampshire in conjunction with the Sustainable Micro-enterprise Development Program in Ghana.

She is also a Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM) and a member of the International Academy of Business and Financial Management. Within 2013-2014, she undertook professional training in International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and is an awardee of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She is also a CIBN-certified microfinance practitioner and a member of the Risk Management Association of Nigeria.
