Keturah is a 2x tech founder, a software engineer at heart, an avid art collector and advisor of African art, and a weekly art columnist for BusinessDay Nigeria. Her passions lie in using technology to create a better world we all want to live in. She also encourages and promotes initiatives that give women and girls a fair chance to take up and advance careers in tech.
She is well rounded having experience that spans product design and development, operations and process improvement, fundraising, strategy and growth, and locking in key partnerships.
Keturah commenced her career as a founding engineer in a Japanese owned Startup in Southeast Asia. She has founded, pivoted and held leadership roles in startups and a consulting firm in Africa and the UK in her career journey.
She has bootstrapped startups to profitability, raised grants, Angel, and Venture Capital for companies she founded and been a part of. She’s an award winning founder who has been opportune to meet great people along her journey. Noteworthy to mention are;
● one (1) year entrepreneurial leg up and personal mentorship with Sir Richard Branson at his family home in Oxford UK
● beneficiary of Branson Center of Entrepreneurship, Johannesburg SA.
● Tony Elumelu Foundation beneficiary,
● beneficiary of Cherie Blair Foundation.
Keturah is not one to give up. She does not take no for an answer, she sees nos as a not right now. In spite of the failure of her first company, Qeturah, a social enterprise that helped promote Nigerian brands and businesses online, offline and through partnerships, she bounced back, unfazed because she knew it was time to shut down.
At some point, her love for art led her to create Usanii, an online resource that helped art lovers to discover, collect and learn about African artists and their artworks. Although it is no longer operational, it didn’t waterdown her passion as a collector and curator. She currently serves as a board member of Patrons, where she advises individuals and corporations to leverage art as a
way to diversify investment portfolios.
It is interesting to note that Keturah holds kindness as one of her core values.
As she often says, 'In a world where you can be anything, be kind.'
